오래전 필라피아에있는 임마누엘교회에서 배운 찬양입니다.
그때 교회에서 중국에 파송한 안대욱선교사님이란 분이 계셨습니다.
저는 한두번 선교사님이 교회에 방문하셨을때 설교를 몇번 들었던 기억이납니다.
하지만 원인을 정확히 알수없는 자동차 사고로 그만 순교하시고 말았습니다.
그때 주일 저녁 추모예배가 있었고 그때 EM 아이들이 예배시간에 이 찬양을 불렀습니다.
아마 선교사님은 교회에 계실때 Youth Group사역을 하셨던것 같습니다.
그리고 선교사님은 아이들에겐 주일학교 선생님 같은 분이셨던것 같습니다.
그 이후 이 찬양을 들을때 마다 선교사님과 EM아이들 생각이나서 왠지 눈시울이 뜨거워 지곤 합니다.

I dreamed I went to heaven And you were there with me;
We walked upon the streets of gold Beside the crystal sea.
We heard the angels singing Then someone called your name.
We turned and saw a young man running And he was smiling as he came.

And he said, "Friend you may not know me now."
And then he said, "But wait, You used to teach my Sunday School
When I was only eight.
And every week you would say a prayer Before the class would start.
And one day when you said that prayer,I asked Jesus in my heart."

Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am so glad you gave.

Then another man stood before you And said, "Remember the time
A missionary came to your church And his pictures made you cry.
You didn't have much money, But you gave it anyway.
Jesus took the gift you gave And that's why I'm here today."

One by one they came Far as the eye could see.
Each life somehow touched By your generosity.
Little things that you had done, Sacrifices made,
Unnoticed on the earth In heaven, now proclaimed.

And I know up in heaven You're not supposed to cry
But I am almost sure There were tears in your eyes.
As Jesus took your hand And you stood before the Lord.
He said, "My child, look around you. Great is your reward."
