일주일내내 집에서만 애만 보시다가 일요일이고 해서 가까운 일본정원에 다녀왔습니다.
원래 아버지가 이런걸 좋아하셔서 왔죠. 실수로 비디오 카메라를 않가져왔다고 혼났습니다.
뭐 그냥 가까운 공원 산책하는 정도로 생각하고 그냥 왔는데 생각보다 꽤 괜찮았죠.
돌아오는 길에 Nursery에 들려서 또 과일나무 한구루랑 꽃나무 두개 사다 심었습니다.

큰 매형이 모처럼 휴가를 얻어서 가족 여름 휴가를 왔습니다. 매형은 미국 출장은 자주 다니시지만 가족끼리 같이 오기는 요번이 처음. 큰누나도 큰맘 먹고 온가족이 골프여행을 왔습니다. 한국에서 못나간 필드 미국에서 실컷 나가보자라는 맘으로 오기도 전에 제가 티타임 꽉 잡아놨죠. 덕분에 저도 며칠 휴가네고 실컷 골프만 쳤죠.
제 조카 찬웅이도 덩달아 처음을로 골프채를 잡았습니다.
어린 녀석이 미국에서 첫 rounding을 시작한 샘이죠.
특별히 잘해드린건 없지만 다들 맘 편하게 쉬다 가셨습니다. 뭐 미국에 사는게 다 이런거죠.
아마 다음번에 작은 매형이 오지 않을까.... 그땐 좀더 좋은 코스로 모셔야겠습니다.

사진에서 보시는데로 Yosemite Upper Fall Trail을 다녀왔습니다.
장모님이랑 그리고 처재, 현재.
폭포를 거슬러 올라가는 꽤 가파른 3.4마일.
지루하고 힘든길이었지만 웅장한 폭포의 모습에 I said, "Oh my God"
지금껏 왠만한 폭포를 보긴했지만 이런 모습은 처음.
참 Yosemite는 괭장한 곳입니다. 아직도 보지못한곳이 많으니 앞으로 자주 가야겠습니다.

Ed was my English Bible study tutor when I was in Philly. In the beginning of my school I decided not to go to Korean church, because I wanted to learn more English and I didn't want to belong to any Korean community. When I left my country, I left all my memories and wanted to erase my old picture in my life. No reason to go to Korean church any more.
Every Friday 7:00pm, at 10th Presbyterian church, we gathered for bible study and I rarely missed the meeting and Ed was always there. One day I asked Ed, how can I pray better? and I still remember his expression about the prayer. "Jong, prayer is just a communication with God". years after years I read about many prayer books and listen to many sermons about prayer, but his simple and clear definition about prayer always stays in my mind.
Ed came here over Thanksgiving holiday to see me and to drive Pacific Highway along the beach which he always wished. Sooner or later he will quit his job and move onto a new direction God planned, serving as Bible translation minister at somewhere in Asian country. I hoped that he can find a good spouse and live like other people do, but God might had a better plan for him.
Ed gave me a news that one of our member recently got baptized. she used to say there is no God. but now she has a different life. I wish I could have had more pictures from Philly, church, school friends and other my Bible study members. Oh thank God, you gave me such a good friend and memories and blessing. Hi, Ed, you will be in my prayer. finish your training and be confident with your new direction. so we can have one more gathering sooner or later.

스키장에서는 보통 사진찍기가 쉽지않았는데 요번에는 대부분 사진들이 다 잘나왔네요. 벌써 스키장에서 사진찍기 시작한 짬밥(?)도 상당히 된듯합니다. 고난도 사진은 리프트탄 사진. 앞쪽 리프트에서 뒤쪽리프트로 등을 돌려서 찰칵. 그리고 Lake Tahoe보이게 찍는 사진도 꽤 괜찮음. 이 사진들은 Jongha.com이 존재하는동안 항상 available합니다. 10년후에 다시 들려보세요...
