It was pretty tough trail, around 10 miles, 5~6 hours of walk but everybody made it without any injuries. The name of park was Big Basin State Park. There are lots of Redwood trees and a few water fall. Since there was no rain over summer the water fall was not very good but as you can see from the picture Redwood tree was awesome. Some people said it was not as big as the one in Yosemite park. So I have to go to Yosemite and check it out. Now I can feel I am in California and finally just started my outdoor activity. There will be more.
We were very tired but smiled. We were so hungry but so patient until we get to Korean restaurant. It was great weekend and I want to thank all of you guys and special thanks to our Father for his wonderful plan....

전에 다니던 교회에서 하도 주말마다 놀러다니니까 이런 얘기를 들은 적이 있습니다. 너희들 너무 노는거 아냐? 그리고 그 모든 노는 계획의 뒤에는 제가... 따라서 모든 비난도 제가... 하지만 사람들은 Fellowship의 역할을 과소평가하는 경향이 있습니다. 하나님은 우리들을 택하시고 이땅의 대리자로 삼으셨습니다. 아직도 철없고 부족한 사람들을 선택해서 교회를 세우셨습니다. 우리는 믿지않는 사람들보고 교회로 오라고 합니다. 하지만 정작 교회인 자신이 그들에게 다가가지는 않습니다.
정말 좋은 시간을 가졌지만 좀더 많은 사람들과 같이 가지 못해 돌아오는길 내내 아쉬웠습니다.

"너희가 서로 사랑하면, 모든 사람이 그것으로써 너희가 나의 제자인 줄을 알게 될 것이다." (요한복음13장 35절)

7월 4일, 뭐했냐구요? 포코노에 놀러갔다 왔습니다.
너무 더운 날씨라서 집이나 회사에서 조용히 지내려고 했는데
그러지 않길 잘했다는 생각이 듭니다. 사진에서 보다싶이
더위는 찾아볼수가 없습니다. It was a lot of fun.
밑에 농구하는 사진 보이세요. 저야 농구가 전공인 사람이지만
이 더운날 농구를 할만큼 힘이 남았다고 생각지 않았는데
보이십니까 저 energy. 오히려 자매들이 더 열심(?).
몸을 날리는 공에 대한 집착. 교회에선 볼수없었던 모습들....

이 모든 줄거움뒤에는 여러 가지로 준비해주신 분이계십니다.
현성, 사라 그리고 부모님께서 그날 Barbecue에서 저녁 냉면까지 준비해주셨습니다.
여러분도 다 아시죠 현성과 사라의 그 Hospitality.
현성이집에 갈 때 마다 느끼는 거지만 그 가정엔 하나님의 축복이 느껴집니다.

We had a really good time.

Hanbit Bible church has an interesting group of people. We have around 14 young people as far as I know and only 6 of them are single including me and all others are married. But we are all in the similar age group I think. and most of them are guys as you can see in the picture. And all of those guys except one are engineering major, computer, mechanical, electronic etc. It means we are all sharing common background which is good for fellowship. But I found out this common ground can be a barrier to others, like new comers or non-engineering related people. On Sunday, we went to the beach. somewhere near Santa Cruise. It was awesome and we had a good time. We stayed at the beach for only 10 or 15min because it was too cold and windy, but coming to beach was something common among us over the time after the service on Sunday. I hope we can have more time like this...

This is newly arranged praise team. We got new electronic drum and bass. When I was in Philly I always wanted to have these. At that time we had a great Key board and piano player but not these two. Here, Ironically, we have pretty good drum and bass player but not keyboard. Well, we have a great piano player though. As you can see five guys including me are praise team which is direct opposite when I was in Philly. Anyway we did pretty good job I think and people are more excited about new praise revival(?). God will send a wave but not always. Our duty is to recognize that wave and ride on it. I believe this is the time....

저도 모처럼 즐거운하루. 주중에 계속 감기 때문에 아팠었는데
이날 이후 거짓말같이 다 나버렸네요.
주님안에서 안식? 뭐 이런게 아닐까요.
보이지 않게 수고하신 손길들이 있었습니다. 모두들 수고하셨습니다...
